RECIPE FIVE: OVERNIGHT OATS (˶ˆᗜˆ˶)

Note: oats are a great carb to have instead of stuff like pasta or bread since they’re complex. This recipe is still a bit sugar heavy, but who doesn’t love overnight oats?

Ingredients:


Directions:

  1. Get a medium sized jar of your choice. I usually use 12-16 ounce jars.
  2. Fill the jar ½ to ¾ths of the way with the oats.
  3. Add milk to the jar until it just covers the oats. Stir around oats and milk, adding more milk if desired. It will seem more soupy than it should be at this point, since the oats will soak up the milk and thicken the mix in the fridge!
  4. Add any number of the optional toppings to the jar and mix around.
  5. Put the jar in the fridge and leave it for at least 45 minutes or overnight.
  6. Yummy yummy ^^
